Highs this weekend remain near-normal. For early April, this means temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s. The daytime hours of both Saturday and Sunday should remain dry. It will be nice to have a quiet and dry weekend for a change! We’ll start Saturday mostly cloudy but should get into some late-day sunshine. Sunday should follow an opposite trend... starting out sunny and then turning cloudy. Northwest winds will be a little breezy on Saturday, but all in all, the weekend forecast looks good.

Other than a few scattered showers and thunderstorms, we’re in for a comfortable and calm weekend. We’re rounding out a stretch of gorgeous weather as we head towards the weekend. Mostly clear conditions continue as temperatures drop into the upper 50s overnight tonight. We’ll warm up fairly quick Friday with all the sunshine, with temperatures rising into the 80s. Minimal humidity will make for a great day to be outside.

While we aren’t quite done with the rain yet, gradual improvements are expected heading into this weekend. Over the last several days, and lets face it - the last several weeks, we have seen lots and lots of rain. Many areas are still healing from the widespread flooding as well. And the rain isn’t going anywhere. The good news is showers over the next several days will be a lot less impactful than what we’ve seen recently.

River levels have been closely monitored along with the ongoing flooding in many parts of our region. Most (but not all) of the points of concern with our rivers are seeing slow improvements, as most hit the crest in the last 24 hours. Still, many areas still have yet to hit the crest, or are sitting right at that point currently. We are very closely watching the chance for more rain around Minnesota and Iowa this week, and even again next week.
