At Grand Rapids Community College, The Collegiate asked students about their favorite podcasts.  Maribel Lupe, 18, majoring in psychology from Grand Rapids, is very invested in Emma Chamberlain’s podcast, “Everything Goes.” Chamberlain’s podcast talks about life, emotions and advice for the people who want to hear about it.

Maria Luipa, 18, health and science major, from Grand Rapids, is thankful to be able to have the opportunity to go to college as being the first in her family, she is also thankful to have her friends and family members to support her, as well as her best friend, her dog Teddy.

Around Grand Rapids Community College, many students such as Luke Baren, 35, have been shaped by their past, slowly becoming the person they are today. Baren is encouraged everyday by the goal of providing a better life for him and his family.

All students are welcome to attend the fight back event where  students will have the opportunity to learn about violence prevention and self defense skills from expert Nicole Snell.
