It struck me the other day, while perusing the daily headlines, that the prefixes “pro” and “anti” have become catch phrases to sum up one’s stand on an issue. I began to ponder the ridiculousness of this vernacular. As if the breadth of belief on an issue could be summed up with these prefixes. Every now and again, there will be a headline in the news about a bear attack. These usually happen in the remote areas of Alaska or Yosemite Park where some poor human runs across the path of a mother bear with cubs. In all honesty, I have been blessed throughout my tenure working with kids in multiple capacities with amazing kids. I cannot pick just one kid. So, I’ll share a few.

We all know it’s wrong, but we’re singing along … so go the lyrics by Five Finger Death Punch. And it is so fittingly apropos these days. We know things are wrong. Corruption. Lack of safety. Lawlessness. We’ve seen it coming but we just kept singing along. Maybe we hoped the wrong would go away on its own. kAmxE C6>:?5D >6 @7 E96 DE@CJ :? yF586D `h 23@FE E96 >2?
