    SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Valley Deputies responded to a reported crash between a truck and a bicyclist on Thursday afternoon. Callers reported the driver of the white Ford F-150 fled the scene, and the bicyclist was lying in the roadway, bleeding from his head. The bicyclist was taken to the hospital for additional treatment and evaluation for his injuries, which appeared to be non-life-threatening.

    SPOKANE, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) announced on Wednesday the state's minimum wage will raise to $16.66 an hour in 2025, a 2.35% increase. The increase will take effect January 1, 2025. L&I calculates the minimum wage for the coming year using the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics' Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W).
