    Contrary to what some fans believe, the Pokémon franchise has never seen a decline in the quality of its creature designs. Since the beginning, every region has been home to both Pokémon with amazing designs, and Pokémon which are almost no one's favorites. There are few Pokémon with truly awful designs, but that doesn't mean they can't still lack originality, or be visually unappealing. The Frieza, Cell, and Buu Sagas of DBZ are named after their respective main antagonists because of how much presence they have throughout them. These are some of the most iconic villains in anime, and they set a high bar for any and all that would follow them.
