Friendship is valuable. Many people seek friends to be there for them through life’s best and worst parts. During a heated political season, many people feel they have no choice but to cut contact with family and friends. Friendships and relationships wither away for countless reasons. Political differences are a valid justification to end connections if they lead to a breakdown in respect and shared values.

I always have something going on, whether it’s personal issues or running late. Without fail, the Bennion Center will have all the lights on and I’ll be greeted as I walk in. The BC always provides something to be excited about. Over the past years, I have been immersed in the community at the BC. Through living in The Hive, working for the BC as a student leader and volunteering biweekly, I have grown to notice the underappreciation for a group of people who have a common goal to help others.

Earlier this month a male teaching assistant won a case for sexual harassment against a school, where he became the subject of staffroom “banter”, with colleagues laughing at inappropriate comments made by the female headteacher about his “fit body and Speedos”. In this case, the tribunal heard how other colleagues teased the teaching assistant about the innuendos and comments made by the headteacher.

On Tuesday, October 24 Monache FFA students attended the Sectional Opening and Closing Ceremony Competition at Tulare Union High School. The FFA Opening and Closing Ceremonies serve as the purpose for opening and closing FFA meetings, explaining the duties of officers, and show recognition given to FFA members. This is an official FFA ceremony and each part has to be memorized by the given officer.
