By Emma YoungIn news overnight, a Bertram couple has returned home from a holiday to find their home gutted by fire, their house-sitters now lucky to be alive. The house-sitters had friends staying over in the home, whose owners were away in Exmouth. They believed the blaze had started from an airconditioning unit; neighbours had to rush over at 2am and beat on the windows to wake them up. They made their escape just as the flames took hold.
