    Jeremy Moreland, president of William Woods University in Fulton, is resigning to pursue "other professional opportunities." The university's Board of Trustees chair will be stepping into the role and has elected to donate her time until a national search for the next president is conducted. "I know the institution, I've been on the board for thirteen years now," Board chair Romaine Seguin said. "And I feel it's time to give back, and I just have so much passion I wanted to give back now."

    University of Missouri anthropology professor and potter Jeff Ferguson doesn’t consider himself a creative person. Full stop. “I’m definitely not what I would call an artistic potter,” Ferguson says. “I don’t paint stuff on it. I (am) not coming up with crazy new forms.”Instead, the art of his craft is found in the care he implements into each step. He builds his own kilns, makes all his own clays — mostly with Missouri clay — and mixes up his own glazes.
