LSU Track & Field’s Tima Godbless goes 10.91 (+1.2) in the 100 meters at the NCAA Track and Field DI Outdoor Championships First Round to move up to No. 2 on the all-time chart. She is the fastest woman so far in the world this year. The time is her personal Best (PB) and she hit it in the first heat of the women’s 100m at the NCAA East Prelims in Florida. She broke 11 seconds for the first time in her career, beating Joella Lloyd (FSU), to 2nd in 11.10s.

Victor Osimhen has shared insights from his discussion with the new Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, ahead of his reign. Chelle was appointed the Super Eagles’ coach in January 2025 and is expected to turn around a poor 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier. After his unveiling, Chelle traveled around to hold discussions with key players of the team including Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen. Speaking on Mikel Obi’s ObiOne podcast, what Eric Chelle told Osimhen about his plans for the team was discussed.

The new NPFL matchball, the Prostar Evolution is here and we hear it’s fast, specially made for strikers with precision. The NPL board announced the new NPFL matchball made by Nigerian based firm, Zenith Sports in Abuja. Currently, 400 balls are available for distribution to the 20 NPFL clubs at 10 for each team in the league. The Prostar Evolution NPFL matchballs will be distributed ahead of the second half of the season to give players time to practice and adapt.

Nigerian champions Rivers Hoopers completed their adventure at the 2024 Basketball Africa League (BAL) with a dominant 23-point blowout of South Africa’s Cape Town Tigers to clinch third place, securing Nigeria’s first-ever podium finish at the BAL with an 80-57 victory.
