Rugby School has announced it is to open a new international outpost in Nigeria. Rugby School Nigeria, in Eko Atlantic City, Lagos, will open on a purpose-built campus in September this year. Rugby School Nigeria will initially offer a sixth form programme for day students aged 16 and above, preparing students for entry to the world’s leading universities. From September 2026, the school will expand to include day and boarding students from age 11 to 18.

Nearly one in five British international schools say that geo-political conflicts have had a “significant” impact on their school and community year, new research shows. The annual research survey from the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) found that a further 34 per cent of schools reported a “moderate” impact from recent or current conflicts. A third of schools also reported an increase in student anxiety “as a result, or linked to geo-political conflicts” in the past two years.
