The City of Nanaimo has recently implemented a new fee structure for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in an effort to encourage appropriate usage and recover costs. Between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., drivers will be charged 2.5 cents per minute for the first two hours and then six cents per minute thereafter. Overnight charging will be billed at a flat rate of six cents per minute.
