    GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WBAY) - Seymour’s first trip to the WIAA State Baseball Tournament ended in heart-breaking fashion. The Thunder were able to overcome a four run deficit with a big fourth inning. Two RBI hits by Micah Byers and Colten Nieland helped Seymour pull even with the Lions. They were still tied heading to the bottom of the seventh. Eisenhower’s Sam Hirthe came up with the big hit, and just out of the reach of Seymour’s Brady Poch. The Lions walked off with a 5-4 win and the state title.

    GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The UW-Oshkosh baseball squad is in a familiar but yet unfamiliar place. The Titans have reached the College World Series as a member of either the NCAA or NAIA 20 times in the program’s history. Yet, they’ve never been to the Super Regionals, which just came into existence at the Division III level in 2019. This weekend they just need two wins to punch their ticket back to the College World Series.

    GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Kaukauna head basketball coach Mike Schalow is calling it a career after leading the Ghosts for 30 years. Schalow won 482 games, a pair of state titles, and six Fox Valley Association championships in those three decades. He was also inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2018. Ultimately after claiming the program’s first FVA title since 2016, and reaching the sectional semifinals, the time was right for Schalow step aside.
