A prisoner has been trapped to death following a mudslide incident at Ahinkofi, near Ketan in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region. The deceased, whose identity remains unknown, was reportedly working alongside three other inmates under the supervision of two prison officers when the incident occurred. A swift response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) curtailed the wild fire from escalating on a Wednesday [May 28, 2025] night.
