    Virtue Field featured some high-level ultimate frisbee to decide the Vermont high school state champions for both the boys and girls divisions. The boys game between No. 2 Montpelier High School and No. 1 Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU) was an instant classic. Both teams traded leads in the beginning, but the Solons came out on top in the end with the 15-12 win. It's a redemption win for Montpelier, after it lost to CVU earlier in the regular season.

    New York high schools from Section II only lost once against Section VII the entire 2024-25 academic season. Another school decided to make it two wins this spring. Section II, which features schools from the greater Albany, N.Y. area, had Stillwater High School as its Class C sectional champion in softball this spring.

In the Vermont Principals' Association (VPA) Division II softball quarterfinals, Mt. Abraham High School's Brooklyn Ryersbach blasted a two-run home run over right field, helping her Eagles score 25 runs against Milton High School.

    Ticonderoga High School softball keeps on dancing in the New York State tournament.The Sentinels battled back from a 3-1 deficit to win 4-3 in the Class C regional championship against Stillwater High School, advancing to the Class C final four. Myleigh Drinkwine started the rally for Ticonderoga in the sixth inning with an RBI double. Sophia Johndrow followed Drinkwine's swing with an RBI triple to tie the game at 3-3.
