    Saranac High School baseball and softball took care of home-field advantage, leading to two wins for the school on the same day. The baseball team is now at a 5-0 record to start their season, after a 12-4 win against the defending Section VII Class C sectional champions Ticonderoga High School. The Spartans opened the contest with a 5-1 lead, but the Sentinels battled back with a three-run fifth inning to cut the deficit down to 5-4.

    Chazy High School softball remains undefeated after another strong performance. The Eagles swept their season series against Boquet Valley High School after picking up a 13-3 win in the two teams' second meeting of the season. Kennedy Columbus pitched a complete game, allowing two earned runs on 14 strikeouts. She has earned all three wins on the mound this season tallying 38 total strikeouts so far this season. The Chazy offense also played a role in the second win against Boquet Valley.

    An annual rugby tradition exploding in popularity across the North Country has contributed to a great local cause for nearly three decades. The TNT Rugby Tournament made its return to Plattsburgh State University for its 27th year. "Playing in this tournament the past two years has been an absolute blast," said Plattsburgh State men's rugby player Jack Gero. "It's a great thing to raise some money here for a charity."The tournament features college teams and alumni teams from all across New York.

    Only one team could remain undefeated, and that team was Chazy High School. The Eagles tallied double-digit runs, leading to a 10-5 win over the 2024 Section VII Class D championship runner-ups, Lake Placid High School Blue Bombers. Jacoby Weeden led the Chazy offense at the plate, going 2 for 4 with a game-high 4 RBI on a pair of singles. Novak Jarus also had 2 RBI, hitting 2 for 3 with a double.
