Stephanie Merlo, a gay solider who served while “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was in place, shared how that policy still haunts her decades later. As she would have been penalized for living her authentic life because of this law, Merlo went to great lengths to hide her true self — but it came at a cost that she’s still paying today.

He spoke to 8News in an exclusive interview to give his account of what he experienced behind bars at this troubled Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) facility. “There’s gotta be changes, there needs to be changes,” Jeffrey said.

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A crowd gathered at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Richmond to welcome a new organ that is one of the largest of its kind. There are not many organs much larger than the newly installed Opus 55 pipe organ at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Richmond. The organ contains more than 4,330 pipes ranging from a quarter inch to 32 feet.
