Chicago rock trio Lifeguard have announced their debut album. Ripped and Torn drops June 6 via Matador. The band has also announced a North American and European tour behind the LP and shared its lead single, “It Will Get Worse.” The track arrives alongside a video, directed by Eli Schmitt, in which the band members get chased by a dog, tumble into the Chicago River, and more. Earlier this month, a number of Stereolab fans received a mysterious 7" vinyl single in the mail labeled “Unsolicited Stereolab Material.” The disc, which was also sent to some Pitchfork staffers, contained a song called “Aerial Troubles” on one side and its instrumental version of the track on the reverse. Now, the band has released the new song and announced an accompanying album, marking Stereolab’s first new music in 15 years.

Ethel Cain has announced her second album of the year. Following the release of January’s experimental project Perverts, the singer-songwriter will follow it up with her sophomore studio album, Willoughby Tucker, I Will Always Love You, this August. Cain will also embark on a lengthy North American and European tour in support of the LP that will take her to New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and many more cities.
