Goodbye, Warner Bros. Discovery. Hello, two other things. Warner Bros. Discovery — the toddler-aged, debt-laden corporate entity that controls HBO, CNN, Warner Bros. movies, the Discovery stuff, and the streaming identity crisis known as (HBO) Max — is splitting up the business. CEO David Zaslav has turned his eye to his own merged company and decided that, actually, it was time to break it up again. The future of “Warner Bros. Discovery” will look a little bit like the individual Warner Bros.

The beloved show’s reprieve from streaming limbo will come with some changes once the new season hits Netflix later this year. The letter of the day is S — for streaming or salvation, depending on your perspective. Sesame Street, home of beloved Muppets like Elmo, Big Bird, and Abby Cadabby, is coming to Netflix for its next season after spending about five years on Max (née HBO Max, give or take a rebrand) and recently losing its contract with the service.

“Dos filhos deste solo, és mãe gentil, pátria amada, Brasil!” –YouTube, probably. YouTube will add a new notch to its belt this fall: NFL livestreamer. The most popular streaming service of them all announced today that on Friday, September 5, it will exclusively air a regular-season game live from Brazil to its worldwide audience, for free and for the first time ever. The match is the week-one Chargers game and will be held in São Paulo’s Corinthians Arena.

Do we need another streaming service? The Murdoch clan seem to think so. This fall, the Fox Corporation is launching its own version of Max in a new streamer it’s calling Fox One — a roll-up of programming from all the Foxes: the broadcast network, News, Business, Weather, Sports, FS1, FS2, BTN, Deportes, and its various local stations. Existing subscribers to this new service will also have the option to bundle the Fox Nation with it in the name of good old ’Murican synergy.
