    The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) have issued a number of food alerts and recalls over the last few days for popular products. SuperValu shoppers have been warned that a popular fish item has been pulled from the shelves, due to possible elevated levels of Histamine. On the FSAI website, the recall read: "As a precautionary measure, SuperValu is recalling the above batches of its Signature Tastes Yellowfin Tuna Steaks due to possible elevated levels of Histamine.

    The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) have issued an urgent recall of milk due to the fact that it contains a powerful toxin. Loughpark Farm Raw Milk is being recalled after it was discovered it may contain Shiga toxin-producing E. coli. The FSAI issued a warning that consuming the milk could result in "severe illness".

    The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued an alert due to an issue with a number of lunch meats. Three products were processed, packaged and labelled without approval and were therefore not subject to official controls, and the FSAI has issued a recall. They issued an alert on their website for Russell Meats Sliced Corned Beef, Sliced Turkey and Roast Beef Sliced.

Dan Shilling, 39, an offshore electrical technician who lives in Norfolk, said he has always been “overweight”, but during the Covid-19 pandemic he reached his heaviest, 26st 1lbs (166kg).

    The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued an alert due to an issue with a popular ham. Consumers are being warned that there is an undeclared allergen present in a batch of ham that is sold in supermarkets such as Tesco, SuperValu and more. The product in question is Brady Family Master Butcher Edition 7 Day Dry Aged Glazed Ham, which has been mispacked with crumbed ham.
