For the past few months, we’ve been looking at checkout statistics for Libby—the app that patrons can use to check out ebooks, audiobooks, and emagazines. For May, we’re switching things up a bit. This time, we’re looking at the check-ourt numbers for ebooks as well as audiobooks. Both sets of statistics offer some interesting insight into library patron interests throughout the country. The books span from a very recent mega-bestselling thriller to a book by a certain Georgian-era fave.

It’s always exciting to step into a new month and see what book publishers have in store for us. June has the added bonus of being the first month of summer, and so all the books coming out around this time also have the luxury of being associated with summer reading. And let me just say that we have all the summer reading recs. With May having just ended, we can now look back at all the bookish things the month brought. There were lists upon lists of excellent summer reading—from The New York Times’ fiction and nonfiction lists to a general list by The LA Times’.
