    Miami-Dade County's Extreme Heat Season gets underway today. "Those are the days when the heat index gets over a 100 when, really, a general risk of heat illness for the population, if precautions are not taken," says National Weather Service Miami Meteorologist In Charge Robert Molleda. Molleda adds, again this year they'll issue Heat Advisories when heat indexes are expected to be at least 105 degrees. Extreme heat warnings will be issued if the "feels like" temps hit 110 or higher.
