All of South Florida remains under a flood watch until tomorrow morning, with some areas potentially seeing up to a half-foot more of rain. The City of Miami is preparing with 13 permanent stormwater pumps placed in high-risk flood zones, with eight temporary ones in low lying areas.

It's deja vu all over again. A man has climbed a pole at Miramar Parkway and State Road 7 and refuses to come down from standing on top of the pedestrian crossing signal. Miramar Police says just about two years ago the same man did the same thing at the same intersection. That time he gained national attention when he danced and did push ups on top of a Miramar Fire Rescue truck. In 2021 he climbed a traffic light on Miami Beach.

A former Hialeah Police Chief is under arrest. Sergio Velazquez is charged with money laundering, organized fraud of $50,000 or more and grand theft. Velazquez was tapped as top cop in 2012 and was put on leave in 2021 by now former Mayor Estaban Bovo. In a statement current Mayor Jacqueline Garcia-Roves said:"The City of Hialeah has been informed of the arrest of the former Hialeah Police Chief, Sergio Velázquez, as a result of an investigation initiated under a previous administration.
U.S. Supreme Court Allows Trump Administration To Remove Immigrants

Florida wildlife officials get earfuls before giving preliminary approval to the state's first regulated black bear hunt in more than a decade. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation commissioners heard from nearly 200 people, with sentiment split about whether the state should host another bear hunt. The proposal for a 23 day hunt in December would allow a total of 187 permits in east panhandle, north, central and south Florida bear hunting zones.
