(ABC 6 News) – A GoFundMe has been set up for the family of Melissa Hunt, who died on Wednesday from injuries allegedly caused by Craig Hameister. According to the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, the two had a previous relationship together. The funds raised will go toward assistance with funeral costs for Hunt’s family. (ABC 6 News) – Very Reverend William D. Thompson of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester put out a statement regarding multiple legal claims they face. Thompson said three legal claims against the Diocese and three other entities of the Diocese had been filed in Olmsted and Winona County Courts. They stem from insurance issues addressed in the Diocese’s bankruptcy case.

(KSTP) – The Brooklyn Park Police Department said they are conducting another search of the Edinburgh Golf Course on Friday for evidence in connection with the targeted killing of House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, and the subsequent break-in at the Hortman home. Police said that detectives are searching the course Friday morning. The golf course is next to the Hortman home. CHOPPER 5 captured crews searching a lake and pond on the golf course.

One person hurt after car hydroplanes on I-35 By KAALTV (ABC 6 News) – Heavy rain early Friday morning sent one person to the hospital after their car hydroplaned on I-35 in Steele County. According to Minnesota State Patrol, 32-year-old Hector Guerrero was going north on I-35 at around 6:18 a.m. when his car started hydroplaning. It then rolled and went into the ditch. Guerrero was taken to Owatonna Hospital with non-life threatening injuries....

(ABC 6 News) – A fire broke out in a garage in Albert Lea on Thursday night, resulting in no injuries, but hefty damage costs to the building. Albert Lea Fire Rescue says it responded to the call at 1019 St. Joseph Ave. around 8:42 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, after a neighbor reported smoke coming from the garage door. That neighbor was able to make contact with the homeowner and make sure everyone was safe.
