Being “From the World of John Wick” is not an easy thing. In this fictional universe, the threat of death lurks around every corner – and not just because those corners often conceal the members of an ancient and shadowy assassin’s guild. The Studio is a comedic perpetual motion machine, its freewheeling nature disguising the intricacies within. But it took me a few minutes to catch onto the distinctive style that conveys its constant stream of industry-insider jokes. As movie studio executive Matt Remick (Seth Rogen) takes a golf-cart ride from a wintry film set to the visually stunning offices of the fictional Continental Studios, the entire trek is captured in a single, unbroken shot.

Warning: this review contains full spoilers for Episode 3 of Daredevil: Born Again! The third episode of Daredevil: Born Again comes after a riveting two-part opener, so it’s understandable that things are now cooling down a bit this week. There’s a focus on Hector Ayala’s trial that leads to all manner of legal twists and turns, but even the twistiest lawyer drama isn’t exactly the most thrilling thing to watch.
