Lunit has signed a five-year contract with healthcare network Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) to deploy Lunit’s AI-based Insight MMG mammography analysis software across SEHA’s network of hospitals and clinics. Lunit is highlighting results published March 10 in Nature Communications that validate the effectiveness of its Lunit Insight MMG in South Korea's national breast cancer screening program. The study was led by Yun-Woo Chang, MD, from Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital in collaboration with breast and general radiologists from six South Korean academic hospitals.

AI software developer iCAD and PACS vendor RamSoft have entered a preferred distributor and integration partnership. Under the agreement, RamSoft will integrate iCAD's ProFound AI Breast Health Suite in its PowerServer RIS/PACS software, which is used by more than 750 imaging centers worldwide, the companies said. iCAD’s technology is based on data from a woman's 2D digital screening mammogram and is designed to help detect cancers in between screening intervals, according to the company.

Lunit subsidiary Volpara Health's volumetric breast density assessment has been integrated into the newly released version of the BOADICEA (also known as CanRisk) breast cancer risk model. Studies have shown the use of Volpara density in BOADICEA to improve model accuracy compared with using BI-RADS density categories, the company said. Volpara also reported that it has inked an agreement with Optellum, an AI lung cancer diagnosis developer.

Outpatient medical imaging provider SimonMed Imaging has implemented MagView's Luminary Risk risk assessment software into its Personalized Breast Cancer Detection program. Luminary Risk helps users identify women who may need additional screening beyond a standard mammogram, and consists of a patient history collection platform that highlights actionable risk scores, patient recommendations, and care plans, SimonMed said.
