Missourians will vote on more than just abortion when they decide whether to ratify Amendment 3 this November. In fact, a “yes” vote could empower doctors to provide life-altering gender transition drugs and surgeries to children without their parents’ consent. As a devout Catholic, Mark Houck believes every human life is precious, created by God, and worthy of protection. It was this belief that led him to often pray with his 12-year-old son outside a Philadelphia abortion facility. In October 2021, a Planned Parenthood escort repeatedly got in the face of Houck and his son while making vulgar comments toward them, witnesses said. Houck allegedly responded by pushing the abortion escort in an effort to protect his son.

Last week, I helped argue at the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of pro-life doctors and their patientsLast week, alongside hundreds of determined supporters braving the chilly weather, I stood before the U.S. Supreme Court to help ensure that we held accountable the reckless actions of the Food & Drug Administration. Bank of America is at the center of an ongoing January 6 investigation. Yet not because it (or its leadership) was directly involved in the riot. Rather, there has been an ongoing investigation into whether Bank of America supplied the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) with financial records of people in the DC area for January 5–7, 2021. Brian Knight, director of innovation and governance at the Mercatus Center, has created an ongoing series to break down the facts as new updates come forward.

The major theme of the coming Supreme Court term is administrative law. Once obscure, this body of statutes, rules, and cases governing the structure and conduct of the federal government’s administrative agencies gained public attention through recent eye-catching cases—like the ones that downed the student loan cancellation plan and set aside the clean power plan that would have shifted the nation’s power grid to all renewable energy sources.

Activist judges who believe the propaganda on “lifesaving” “gender-affirming” care for minors are weeping into their lattes this month as a second federal appellate court has just upheld a duly enacted state law banning these practices for children. A few short weeks after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit upheld Tennessee’s law banning “gender-affirming” care for minors in the state, the 11th Circuit followed suit and upheld Alabama’s law prohibiting the same.
