The Rogers girls basketball team defeated an overmatched Sauk Rapids-Rice team 105-24 on Friday, Dec. 20, at The Den in Rogers. The victory by the Royals improved their record to 3-5 on the season. Sauk Rapids-Rice fell to 0-8. Even though the Royals had four starters out with injury, this game was never in doubt from the opening tip. It’s now game on for ice fishing on most parts of Mille Lacs Lake. The south end has the most as that froze prior to Thanksgiving again this year. But the bays up the west side are doing nicely as well. The main lake is always the last to get good ice, but with the most recent cold snap it is also getting there. Below are some of the resorts with their most recent ice reports prior to the printing of this issue.
