Temps Fall Tuesday SALINAS, Calif. (KION) – After a very warm Monday, temperatures fall back down on Tuesday! An area of low pressure will retrograde out of the Northern Rockies into the Great Basin. It will cool temperatures aloft into California and over us by about 5ºF. In addition, it will allow for a deeper marine layer and stronger southerly onshore flow.

Warm, Dry, Sunny Monday SALINAS, Calif. (KION) – We're in for a bit of a temperature roller coaster in the coming days as we flipflop between offshore and onshore flow and the nearby ridge sways back and forth. We’ll get a big temperature jump on Monday as offshore winds keep the marine layer at bay and the ridge surging in from the west warms temperatures aloft.

Quiet Friday Before Slightly Unsettled Weekend SALINAS, Calif. (KION) – Cool and cloudy conditions will persist along the coast into Friday. Winds will begin to pick up as a deep trough approaches the West Coast. Temperatures will drop sharply into Saturday—most notably inland. Winds could gust as high as 40mph, and there will be some chance for precipitation. Isolated showers will be possible, but a light drizzly rain may be the most likely form and that is most likely early on Saturday.
