Author and Counselor Published Aug 05, 2024 One of my favorite lines from the movie, You've Got Mail, is when Joe Fox says to Kathleen Kelly in an email, "Don't you love New York in the fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils, if I knew your name and address." I love the imagery of that quote, and I must confess that fall is one of my favorite times of the year.

Author and Counselor Updated Aug 01, 2024 CT had five fathers by the time he was 12 years old. Number 5 was a cruel and angry man who didn't like having the boy around. He had told CT's mother, "It's either me or the boy." It all came to a head a year later when Number 5 was drunk and decided to take out his frustration on CT by threatening him with a knife. CT ran like lightning, grabbed his coat and a few dollars he had saved, and at 13 years of age, left home for good.
