I absolutely adore music, so I'm always hunting for the best earbuds. I've tested audiophile-quality headphones that make songs I've heard 100 times before sound completely fresh, and at the other end of the spectrum, earbuds so terrible that it made me full-body cringe. The Edifier NeoBuds Planar could've fallen into the first category. For a pair of wireless earbuds, the detail translation is pretty fantastic, especially for certain genres like classical and ambient.

I love to experiment in the kitchen, so I need to keep an eye on the best blenders around. Blenders don’t really impress me unless they can make nut butters and thick, spreadable dips with ease; I need one that can turn everything I throw at it to liquid. It’s good for me, then, that the Magimix Blender Power 4 ticks all those boxes and more. The super-powerful 1300W motor base never overheated when making challenging foods like peanut butter and hummus and made smoothies in seconds.

It’s very rare I see a gaming microphone as adept as the NZXT Capsule Elite with a price as affordable. At just $89, this is one of the cheapest gaming mics I’ve ever tested, and it’s a fantastic deal for the money. With so many streamers trying to break through to reach the front page of sites like Twitch, having one of the best microphones can be one of the easiest ways to get there.

Screw suspense, I’m just going to come out and say it. The Ninja Detect Power pro with BlendSense is one of the best blenders I’ve ever used, if not the best. There. It’s out. Review over. I jest, but I seriously adore this blender. It performs like it should cost over $500 and have a nice shiny ‘Vitamix’ label. Everything I threw in the 72oz pitcher blended in seconds — it even made smooth liquid gold peanut butter in 3 minutes. I know, I wouldn’t believe it either.

As a self-professed coffee nerd, I’m always on the lookout for the best coffee makers. I drink coffee based on my mood — if I want to feel like I’m at a cafe, I’ll whip up a flat white on my espresso machine. If I’m feeling fancy, I’ll have an AeroPress, and if I want something light and airy I’ll reach for my V60. However, there’s one brewing method I’ve always voiced my distaste for: French press.
