Home Alone is a rare Christmas classic that we’re pretty certain will always hold up, despite the many decades that have already passed since its release. While films like Love Actually are now being examined through a modern lens, there’s something comforting about a story of a little boy who is accidentally left behind by his parents for Christmas, who then triumphantly bamboozles two petty criminals who are terrible at their chosen careers.

The season 15 premiere of Big Brother had us falling in love with Regina ‘Reggie’ Bird all over again when she once again graced our screens in 2022. The Tasmanian pocket-rocket – who won the series in 2003 – made her grand return at the top of the episode, walking into the house on the arm of fellow former winner Tim Dormer. “This may be a new game, but I’m still the same old Reggie,” she could be heard saying at the beginning.

Angie Kent is a particularly loveable TV personality. She had us cackling through the first few seasons of Gogglebox Australia beside her best friend Yvie Jones, and with every TV endeavour since we’ve learned just how relatable she is. When Kent served as our 2019 Bachelorette, her brutal honesty and no-bull attitude towards some of the questionable men on her season had us cheering, and of course, we were thrilled to see her find love at the end.
