The NSW Government is making a pitch to steal our essential workers encouraging them to “escape the rat race” and have more time to walk the dog by moving to regional NSW. The Make the Move digital campaign targets nurses, police, teachers, firefighters and midwives to move to eight areas such as Bega Valley, Coffs Harbour and Goulburn. Launched on Friday, the campaign shares the stories of workers who have quit the busy city life and moved to the country.

Sometimes, however, city life can get overwhelming, and when it does, I escape to the countryside. A train ride to clear my head and a weekend of wandering walks is my ideal. Needing to slow down my pace a bit from London, I booked a train ticket to York, England.
