(WCBD) - A federal judge has temporarily paused the National Institutes of Health (NIH) plans to slash billions in indirect funding for medical research, safeguarding programs across South Carolina universities and instutitons for now. The NIH announced Friday that it would put a 15% limit on indirect funding, which generally covers overhead costs like equipment, operations, maintenance, accounting, and personnel.
