LIVEThe Matildas’ disappointing SheBelieves Cup campaign has one more match to go - which means one more shot at a positive result under coach Tom Sermanni. An uninspired and embarrassing performance from the Matildas should have alarm bells ringing with the “strongest team” unable to make a dent against Japan in their opening SheBelieves Cup clash. Matildas fell 4-0 in a lacklustre performance. It is the biggest win celebrated by Japan in 30 outings against the Matildas. With the Asian Cup just over a year away it really doesn’t bode well for the Matildas.

The centreback’s move to Sydney FC has been circling the rumour mill since he announced earlier this week his time at Chinese Super League club Tianjin Jinmen was over. He played 10 matches in 2024, scoring one goal.

The kids are not alright. Record numbers of children are suffering from anxiety and depression. Experts and lawmakers are trying anything to address the spike — even if it’s unproven. https://t.co/Qej7wcn0uf
