All I knew about The Gryphon King before going in was that it was promised to have (queer) sword-wielding female knights on winged, man-eating horses, and that was honestly enough to know I needed this in my life. Turns out, that is only one of the many (many!) aspects that make this dark, epic, political fantasy so wonderfully intriguing and breathtakingly brilliant.

You know, The Connections series has been excitingly unique and unpredictable from the very start, but I somehow still wasn’t prepared for the number of surprises that Christina K. Glover had in store in The Lineman. It takes all the best elements of the previous two books and just weaves every single thread together in one hell of an epic finale full of action, emotion, heart, and hurt.

You would think that Dinniman would run out of new ways to keep this insane dungeon crawling adventure exciting at some point, but ooooh no, instead The Eye of the Bedlam Bride might just be the best and most refreshing instalment in the series yet. What can I say that I haven’t already said before? This series just has absolutely zero business working as well as it does, and yet here we are.

I mean, it’s just as cute, cozy, charming, fun and endearing as it is promised to be, and my heart was honestly bursting with joy the entire way through this unconventional dragon fantasy adventure.If you come here expecting a rehash of the wild dragon bonding shenanigans that Upscaled delivered, then you better think again.
