I don’t know if it’s the humidity, the lifting of my seasonal depression, or the fact that it’s bright out until after 9 pm, but there’s something electric about the summer. There’s something about the soupy humidity, and the potential for sunburns, and the bright blue skies that has me craving easy, breezy summer beach reads. While I do love playing mermaids, one of my favourite things to do beside a large body of water is read an unputdownable book.
