AS YOU CAN SEE, THE BULK OF THE VALLEY IS DRYING BACK OUT AS THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSHOWERS ARE LIFTING OFF TO THE NORTH AND TO THE EAST. AND I’VE ALSO TURNED ON THE SATELLITE. Weather continues to feel like early summer Friday evening with higher-than-average heat and humidity hanging overhead. Spotty showers and thundershowers are possible with the best chance of these coming mainly along and northwest of I-81. Areas southeast of I-81 could see a few thundershowers but chances are lower. Shower and thundershower chances fizzle out slowly overnight as we stay mild.

Look for partly sunny skies this afternoon and highs near 84 degrees. An isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible. Winds will be light from the southwest.Partly cloudy skies are in store tonight, along with a stray shower or thunderstorm. Lows will be mild, near 60 degrees.A cold front will approach from the west Saturday, leading to a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly toward evening. Isolated severe storms may produce damaging wind gusts.
Impact: scattered showers, few thunderstorms tonight. Some may be severe.

We get some breaks in the clouds early this evening. This allows temperatures to warm a little above average. We'll likely be in the mid to upper 60s through sunset. Friday night is an Impact Night for the chance of widespread rain that could be briefly heavy at times. Tonight, widespread rain is likely, as low pressure moves from Delmarva out to sea. There's enough cold air at cloud level to produce rain/snow showers around sunrise, but no impacts are expected from the wet flakes. Lows will fall to 40 degrees.Rain/snow showers will taper to scattered rain showers by late morning. Off-and-on showers will linger through Saturday evening.
