Research suggests that younger age is often linked to higher levels of depression, loneliness, and a tendency to withhold mental distress, which may contribute to an increased risk of self-harm. This is according to a recent study published in the journal SSM Mental Health. The findings show that men tend to manage their distress by numbing, escaping, and avoiding their negative emotions and problems.

Kenya has made great strides in the fight against tobacco use in the last 10 years, according to Joel Gitali, chair of the Kenya Tobacco Control Alliance. Gitali spoke to The Eastleigh Voice on Friday, following a report by the World Health Organization (WHO) that said Kenya is among nations that are on track to help achieve a 30 per cent relative reduction in tobacco use across the world by 2025.

The use of WhatsApp in the coordination and management of Emergency Medical Services in Garissa County is bearing fruit and has shown significant improvement in accessing quality medical services in the ASAL county. In a report published in the African Journal of Emergency Medicine, the use of WhatsApp for integrating hospitals and Emergency Medical personnel has improved the effectiveness and efficiency of the local Emergency Medical Services.
