A 50-metre tsunami in Tonga moved a massive boulder weighing 1200 tonnes inland 7000 years ago, according to new research from the University of Queensland. It makes the boulder known as Maka Lahi to be the largest in the world to be moved by a wave. University of Queensland PhD candidate Martin Kohler said the finding outlined in their research provides new insight into tsunami history in the area and future risks.
