The head of electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian says that its next generation of smaller EVs will make getting into a Rivian less expensive. But that doesn't apply just to the new R2 and R3 models with their smaller size and lower price tags. RJ Scaringe also thinks that the new EVs will make the R1S and R1T more affordable.

Just a couple of years ago, Japanese luxury brand Lexus had one of the oldest vehicle lineups around. In the last three years or so, it has finally started fixing that. New models, new generations, and refreshes have reinvigorated the company's lineup. Now, the oldest of the remaining Lexus models, the IS, is nearing an end. Production will cease in November.

Its small lineup probably played a big part in luxury car maker Genesis' plans to move fully electric instead of making a stop in hybridville in the middle. But the Korean automaker's plan to launch only EVs from 2025 hasn't panned out, and so starting late last year, reports started to come out saying Genesis was working on alternatives. First, an extended-range hybrid, and later reports of more conventional hybrid models.

Massive demand for the Toyota GR Corolla in the few markets where it is sold now, like the US, has Toyota keen on expanding in a big way. To build more, the company is adding production at a different factory in the UK. And since that's happening, Toyota may as well sell them in that neck of the woods, too.

British firm Lanzante has worn many hats over the years, but its most famous might be as the racing team that brought Le Mans victory to the McLaren F1 GTR in 1995. Since then, the company has gained a reputation for servicing McLaren road cars like the P1 as well as racers, and for developing its own machines like the just-announced Project 95-59.
