Liverpool City Council has chosen CBRE to prepare the recently acquired Great George Street site for the delivery of a mixed-use regeneration scheme to be designed by Brock Carmichael. The Great George Street site spans 4.6 acres of brownfield land which lies within Chinatown and close to the Baltic Triangle district, adjacent to Liverpool Cathedral. Its development has been stalled since 2017 amid legal challenges which the council has now resolved and has become the freeholder.

Housebuilder Keepmoat has appointed Ian Hoad to the role of chief executive from next month. He will take over from Tim Beale, who is stepping down following eight years with the business. Hoad joined Keepmoat in 1996, staying with the business for five years. He then gained experience working across other housebuilders before rejoining Keepmoat in 2009. Since then, Hoad has held different roles within the business, most recently as divisional chairman.

Related Argent has appointed development and acquisitions manager Olivia Frew to its growing team. Frew joins from Reef, where she focused on the Westbrook Centre development in Cambridge. The 369,000 sq ft scheme, which is being delivered in partnership with UBS. Prior to that, she has worked for Hines and JLL. In her new role, Frew will support senior executives in managing projects as well as developing and executing key strategic initiatives across the business.
