She is the first woman to ever hold the position of first deputy superintendent. ABC7 Chicago spoke exclusively with Talley about her experience on the force, and what it brings to her leadership role. It's a place Talley never imagined she'd be. "I started January 1995, and first deputy superintendent was John Townsend," she said.

For years, both the Water Tower Place and North Michigan Avenue have been destinations for upscale shopping. Both have seen a decline in recent years, but that could be changing. Tuesday was a special day for 9-year old Adriana Martinez as her aunts bring her down to the famous Water Tower Place to shop, just like they did when they were kids.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- For more than a century, the stained-glass windows inside Second Presbyterian Church in the South Loop have shined, but, over time, their brilliance has faded. Now, there are efforts to restore the Tiffany windows to their original glory. "So, the light coming into the building and the new view of the outside, I think about this metaphor a lot," interim Pastor Chesna Hinkley said.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- An alleged serial killer, charged in connection with a total of six Southwest Side murders in 2020, remains in custody after his latest detention hearing on a new set of murder charges was delayed TuesdayAntonio Reyes was just 17 years old when he allegedly killed six people over a span of several months in 2020, police said. The family of one of Reyes' alleged victims left court frustrated after the hearing was rescheduled so his public defender could prepare for his defense.
