    A two-storey building under construction collapsed, yesterday, on Ishaga Road, opposite the Central Mosque in the Idi Araba area of Mushin, Lagos State. One body was recovered from the rubble, while three persons were rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The cause of the collapse could not be ascertained, but concerns were raised about the structural integrity of the building and potential safety lapses.

    Tragedy struck weekend, on Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, Lagos, after a deaf commuter was crushed by a mini commercial bus popularly called Korope. Report said an unidentified driver of the mini commercial bus alleged to be driving recklessly, lost control and veered off his lane. In the process of controlling the bus, he rammed into another mini bus stationed , before mowing down the unsuspecting pedestrian.

    NSIB investigates helicopter crashThe Eastwind Aviation helicopter that crashed into Bonny River, in Rivers State, yesterday, has claimed the lives of its eight occupants. The helicopter, carrying eight persons, six passengers and two crew members, crashed from Port Harcourt Military base to FPSO NUIM ANTAN (offshore Calabar). Rivers State Police Command said all eight persons aboard the helicopter that ditched into the Atlantic Ocean have been reportedly dead.
