    Lambeth Council has agreed to transform the unused area by the BFI IMAX Cinema in Waterloo into a 1,200 capacity food court, bar and event space. Set to open in phases from December 2025, plans have been made to create a cultural venue next to South Bank. Lambeth Council has agreed to lease the unused area to Thrale Investments, the team who created Flat Iron Square and Vinegar Yard near London Bridge station.

    E-bike operators, Lime and Forest have been fined £30,000 by Transport for London (TfL) in a bid to tackle e-bike pile ups on the city’s roads. TfL has given 333 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) to both Lime and Forest and has sent out more 190 warning letters to both companies. There has been a recent crack-down on dockless e-bikes by TfL, who introduced a new enforcement policy last year for rental e-bikes parking on Red Routes, the main roads through the city.

    A 55-year-old will be cycling 475 miles from Glasgow to Crystal Palace in just five days in a bid to raise money for Lymphoma charity, in memory of his friend who passed away from blood cancer in 2023. Starting at Partick Thistle in Glasgow on Monday 14th July and finishing at Crystal Palace on Friday 18th July, Fraser MacDonald will be stopping off at multiple football ground on his way down. Fraser’s friend Hugh Porter sadly passed away from non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.
