The Spokane Regional Emergency Communications (SREC) dispatched units from SVFD, Spokane Fire Department (SFD), and Spokane County Fire District 9 (SCFD9) just after 1:00 p.m.Witnesses reported seeing black smoke coming from several windows.

According to Idaho State Police the crash occurred Monday, June 23, around 8:30 p.m. on Waha Road near Buchanan Road. An 18-year-old female from Lewiston was driving a Toyota 4Runner northbound when she left the roadway, entered a ditch, and rolled. She was airlifted to a local hospital but later died from her injuries.
