LAHORE:Punjab Assembly on Tuesday passed a unanimous resolution condemning violation of Indus Basin Treaty by India and asserted that there can be no compromise over water issue. The resolution was moved by PMLN legislator Uzma Kardar also stated that Pakistan, by all means would protect its sovereignty and independence against Indian aggression. It also stated that the entire world was viewing India as an irresponsible country, losing its worth in international community.

Even the Punjab Minister for Agriculture was absent during the debate on agriculture which not only embarrassed the government but also forced PA Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan to remark that 'we are forced to tell CM Punjab that her ministers don't attend the session'.

The fifth sitting of PMLN-PPP Coordination Committee took place at the Governor’s House here on Sunday in which the federal government assured the PPP of addressing its reservations about the canals issue.
