1. IntroductionTomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV), a member of the genus Begomovirus within the family Geminiviridae, is a plant pathogen of significant economic concern. It is transmitted by the sweet potato whitefly Bemisia tabaci species complex in a persistent, circulative manner in the field [1,2,3]. TYLCV-infected tomato plants exhibit symptoms such as leaf yellowing, curling, and stunting, which collectively lead to substantial reductions in tomato yields worldwide [4,5].

We experimentally demonstrate a cost-effective dual-polarization quadrature phase shift keying (DP-QPSK) coherent passive optical network (PON) system that operates at 100 Gbits/s/λ. This system utilizes distributed feedback lasers (DFBs) and a carrier recovery algorithm facilitated by a bifunctional frequency-domain pilot tone (FPT).
