The question is, are equal rights, even equal? And do we need them? The answer is, Yes, we do need them, but this doesn’t apply to the whole population. What we need is equity. Equity is in every aspect of life — equity in genders, education, occupation, and healthcare systems. The word gender equality should be replaced by gender equity in SDG goal number five. Everyone demands and wants equity.
