We're introducing this year's Champions for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Girl Scouts Heart of Central California is among the honorees. For more than a century, the Girl Scouts have introduced leagues of girls to outdoor adventure, life skills and camaraderie. But locally, much of the organization was white, and had historically shaped itself initially around serving that population.
