1 Introduction Education has an essential role in the trajectory of future generations. The quality of education is intrinsically linked to the competence and preparation of those who deliver it (Basilotta-Gómez-Pablos et al. 2022). Therefore, the training and preparation of teachers are extremely important to provide future generations with the tools, knowledge and values they need to face challenges, innovate and contribute positively to society (Theelen, van den Beemt, and den Brok 2019).
