Glasgow-based international company Vanishing Point’s production Confessions of a Shinagawa Monkey won four categories at the Critics’ Awards for Theatre in Scotland. The show, which was based on two short stories by Haruki Murakami and co-produced with Japan’s Kanagawa Arts Theatre, won best design, best technical presentation, and best ensemble, while star Sandy Grierson took home one of two outstanding performance awards for his performance as the titular ape.
