Following TCL, Hisense, Samsung and others into the market for very large TVs, Xiaomi will launch its first 100-inch 4K LCD TV next year, starting at just 2000 Euro. 98-inch 4K LCD TVs became affordable a few years ago thanks to TCL and its display panel subsidiary, TCL CSOT. Hisense followed with a slightly larger 100-inch version, built on an LCD panel from the Chinese panel maker BOE.

Samsung is expanding its line-up of 4K OLED TVs – with either QD-OLED or WOLED panels – and reducing the number of 8K LCD ranges. Samsung's OLED TVs with LG panels (83", 77") are coming to EuropeAt IFA 2023, Samsung has confirmed that its first TVs with WOLED panels from LG Display are coming to Europe, starting at 3500 Euro. The S91C is Samsung's first 83-inch model. The 83-inch was launched earlier this year in the US while the 77-inch has not been formally announced – only rumored.

The news was shared by Michael Zink, President and Chairman of the UHD Alliance that has developed Filmmaker Mode in collaboration with Hollywood, at a briefing where LG unveiled its 2023 TV models, according to TechRadar.
